What's Your Plan for Work For Life

You must have a plan to achieve any goals, especially work goals.  Orgnize your goals and determine the steps to take to reach those goals.  List target dat4es in your plan for each goal.  Identify each goal as a short term goal or a long term goal.  Reaching short term goals motivates you and keeps you moving forward.  To reach these goals you will start to develop ways and means to make the goals happen.  You begin to realize you must continue to take the necessary actions to see you plan become reality.

Everything you do once you have a plan should be beneficial to you reaching your goals.  If the activity you do is a factor that could interfer with your goal, scrap that activity.  Surround yourself with people who inspire you in some manner.   Talking to people you admire about your goals.  Talk about your plans every opportunity you get.  You need to hear your plans out loud.  Discussions about your plans expands your thoughts.  Words inside are many times totally different once we hear them verbalized. 

Ask those who you know care to be understandin and supportive in your plans.  And listen to their feedback.  And consider their opinions, but let the final decision be yours.  After all, you are the one who will live with your choices.  Include intertainment into your plans.  You must have relaxation time.  Relaxing is what you do to get away from work for life. 

Having to find work these days is not easy, but with a plan and with the passion to see it through you will get the work you want and it will be sooner rather than later.  Take advantage of this job search opportunity by including in your plan a job you would really like to have.  A job you have dreamed about having over the years.  Look for that job, even if you do not qualify at this time.  Complete a resume, find places to go to seek an interview and try.  If you find you need more training to get the job, what better time than now.  You are looking for work, so look for the training you need. 

If funding is an issue you might want to look into getting a pell grant.  Call or visit your local learning institute.  Visit www.nowthatiknowit.com/Careers.htm   Click on pell grants.  You can complete the form online and within 2-3 weeks you will know if you qualify.  And if you are receiving unemployment benefits, that along does not exclude you from the opportunity to attend school.  Remember, we have not, because we ask not!
