Social Committee Meeting Minutes for Monday, January 12, 2009

Committee Members in attendance: Trey Harris, Gilbert Gonzales, Shauna Gonzales,
Arnold Valdez, Michelle Valdez



Committee members brainstormed and discussed possible ideas for a first quarter neighborhood social gathering. Committee decided on a “Fat Saturday” Shrimp Boil to celebrate Mardi gras. The date for the social was scheduled for Saturday, February 21st to be either held at the “completed recreational center/pool” or at the end of Wortham Oaks Blvd if the rec. center is not complete. The time for the event was not decided on. Trey will request a budget of $250 from the HOA. Gilbert will solicit donations from the builders (Medallion, Kimble Hill and Wall). Michelle will design a flyer to distribute around the neighborhood. Trey will make copies of flyer and have HOA reimburse him. RSVP’s will be done by e-mail.

Consumables from the Christmas HOA party will be used. $250 budget will go to the purchase of drinks, food for the shrimp boil, decorations and consumables if needed. Tables will be provided by social committee members and any neighbors who are willing to lend tables to the event. Lights will be provided by committee members. Residence will be asked to bring their favorite side dish, chairs and any other beverage they wish to consume.

Committee discussed meeting monthly but did not decide on the next meeting date.

Meet was adjourned at approximately 7:30.
