Wyandotte Community Theatre

Oh Keikoooooo

Posted in: Wyandotte
First let me start by saying you are a good poster, You write a good thread, But you seem to be stuck in a world of anger and mistrust, You seem to have a lot to say about how things are done in a city you claim not to live in, But at the same time seem to be obsessed with, I've asked you in previous thread to explain how you would bring in new shops and companys into Wyandotte, How would you improve our streets and buildings, where would you get the money for the improvements you would make, Why would you feel the need to diversify our cities police officer make up? So hook me up Dude, I'm not up on all the issues and could use the insight of a guy who knows it all, And you talk like you know it all. But truthfully from what I have seen so far,The only flair you have is your nostrils. KT

Let's Talk About It

Thank you for your opening compliment is drew me in...however

How would I bring in new shops?

1. You create an environment of a equal playing field, and enforce zoning, and restrictions uniformly in the city.
You Elect qualified leaders who are then held accountable to the Citizens

Do not elect to council inadequate policemen who are underperforming in their jobs because they like Hockey or go to Mt Carmel Festivals!

''Shops'' are a market economic factor, and can only be created by visionary entrepruenures not City legislation.

To create a business friendly pro business community environment you need a plan, and participation,. Wyand has no plan, at least no published plan.
Hence the Economic Development Director is on my Your FIRED List.

For example what riverfront city aspiring to be designated as a Cool City does not have open access of the waterfront with a Municipal Marina or Boat Launch? Our city council debats Beer on the Golf Course as a way to spike revenue for example. Thats not Economic Leadership.

We are wasting our Riverfront by not encouraging Boaters, to dock ''Biddleside'', and shop, eat and be entertained. My opinion.

Federal Law mandates Affirmative Hires not Keiko. Its Federal Law .The Leaderless Police Dept runs like a town in rural Mississippi circa 1963.

Until a month ago they actually fetched Mcdonalds ''lunch bags'' 15 time per week for their detainees.

Entertainment above a shot and a beer is a mix that we do not have in Wyand. the town is described by the Detroit Free Press ( not Keiko) as not a diverse community a Blue Collar town. The emergence of gentry of rehabilitation of old to new buildings,is seriously lacking in the CBD. Look at the COoler as a prime example of a rat infested eyesore a blight upon the CBD and there it stands and there it shall remain another full summer ..another opportunity lost.

My Proposal City should buy it and demo it, clear off the parcel and allow an investor entreprenure to put something nice something upscale there. Its a blight as it stands..

The City acquisition of the Watkins Hamburger Block and the force 'em out mentality against Ramseys Coney is not urban planning. It is a bully in a china shop mentality thats the City problem. A guy like Daly with the money and vision will run rings around the neighborhood groups loosley organized petty opposition and will build whatever he pleases where he pleases, thats a market economy. Look at Finazo's bucket of bolts up on Eureka at 4th 5th 6th as an example of ''build it and they did not come '' And you ask why?

A poor City reputation for small business thats a reason why.

Heres and immediate fix affordable and easily managed.

1. Go to the Your Fired List and do it quickly.

2. Recruit from the region an Economic Development professional. Get a new Community Relations Coordinator get someone who networks small business, and underastnds, small business.

3. WBA is void of leadership, it is however up to them the WBA to get new Leadership. Gilberts days as a Small Busniess Leader are over. He could well be President by Default I really do not know. The organization is a coffee klatch and impotent.

4. Very little money is needed to impliment the Your Fired List and recruit new blood from the downriver and beyond to effect immediate and profound change.

That is just the beginning of what I would do.

What would you do?

Remember bluestreak

this is all from someone who doesn't even live in Wyandotte!!! Maybe we could talk Sue57 into being a candidate. She loves this town, knows everyone and everything and is such a friendly person. Ha ha!! Then maybe Keiko will badmouth her the way he has the other candidates! Put them two together and maybe both will cease to bother us with their righteousness! And b.s.!!!
Oops,, not Bluestreak

I meant Killertop!!! Sorry...
