I have used them for the past 3 0r 4 yrs. (The only reason I use them is that they are at the beginning of that list the city puts out)
This year misteriously I failed.
I wasn't home when it happened so I am a little curious about it. They want to come back to 'fix' it for more $$.
I am going to contact a different company.
I contacted the city and they did say that we must have the test done. If we don't we are placed in a 'non-compliant' folder and eventually we may be made to pay up for all the months that we were non-compliant.
My question is: How come not everyone gets the reminders?

We have lived in Sage Creek since 1999 and started receiving backflow letters a year after we moved in. We contacted the city who told us that they were only targeting the home they knew of and guess what? Those would be the new homes.Ours. Over the next couple of years we continued to receive compliance letters threatening to cut off our water but still never tested our back flow . A petition was passed around to the citizens in Sage creek against the mandatory testing. More than 300 signatures were gathered. That was a great feat considering Sage creek had only 3 or 4 phases at the time. We even had one of our representatives speak before the Mayor and city council. At the meeting, the council decided to halt the letters and table the mandatory testing.

We've used them since we've been here which w/be 5 years in January. This is the first year we've failed the test. I did call around to get estimates and did find that they are one of the most reasonable, even at $90.
