HOUSING COOPERATIVE

The housing cooperative program develops and will manage cooperative housing. Zion City Housing Cooperative Corporation (ZCHC) was incorporated in 1995 in order to provide quality, affordable housing to eligible households. Four homes have been completed and are occupied. Six have been completed and are occupied. Six have been constructed in 1999 and six more renovated.

Cooperative homeownership training courses have been conducted at least twice per year for the past three years and will continue in 2000. THis is the only training of its kind in the city and the state. The sixteen hour course covers the basics of cooperative homeownership.
