Old Business:
Muskrats - Carol will be contacting the vender who gave us a flat rate of $849 to set and clear traps around the north lake. Tim will be asking the state's wildlife department about doing this for us in the future.
Light at the lake end of Old North Church Rd. - Tim has signd the contract to have a streetlight installed at this court at a cost of $11.94, with the power bumped up to 100w.
Fencing - Mark met with Penrod (fencing company) to get an estimate on the cost of replacing the north lake's split-rail fence with a 4-rail hardwood fence made of treated poplar and measuring 16' x 5" x 1" per panel. It will cost $5,576 to fence 1,015 feet around half the lake. (Tim moved; Linda seconded; motion passed;) Tim wants an explanation about why Penrod will only use round posts. Mark, Bob, and Charles will help oversee this fence project.
Banners - Mark and Bob will remove the banners along Natonal Turnpiike to repair them after the concrete sidewalks are poured. They all need to be raised about three feet when they are put back up.
Phelps Hardware - Charles will take care of setting up the $200-per-month limited account, using the list of board members as those permitted to use the account.
Potholes - Donnie had some repaired and will call in others for repair as they develop.
Block Watch - Minutes for the July 7 BW meeting were presented. Officers Larry Smith and Steve Cambron patrol our area and will continue to attend our monthly meetings. They will continue to inform us of any crimes committed in or near our neighborhood.
Bridge - From three bids, we have selected Steve Edwards' bid of $1175 to build a bridge across the culver behind Mr. Moneypenny's property on the lake. The bridge will be six feet wide, anchored, with handrails.
(Carol moved; Vicki seconded - all approved)
Playhouse - Jesses were informed by Charles that the Board did not approve their plans for the playhouse and that IPL had been informed of the structure. The playhouse has since been torn down and a fence around the property is now under construction.
Rocking the lake - State Rep Perry clark is waiting for Ron Weston to set a date to look at the needs of the lake. Linda will stay on this.
New Business:
Tim and Jan Hardy attended FEMA's Flood Zone meeting. They learned that any land with water on it draining into the Northern Ditch is in a potential flood zone. If in the flood zone, the property owner must have flood insurance on what he owes on the property - not on the full value of the property.
