AGENDA
** Dues due by October 31
16 homeowners failed to pay dues for last year, and liens have been filed against their property.
** Vandalism Report - Block Watch proposal
Since June - house vandalized (perps. caught and forced to pay restitution), house burglarized, two drug arrests, two vans broken into and robbed.
Off-duty police officer hired for one month - no crimes during his service time.
** All interested in forming Block Watch Committee to plan our own version, sign up after meeting.
** Muskrat Report
17 trapped along lake (their tunnels speeding up erosion of lakeshore) - will reset in 3 months
** Lake Trees Project
12 trees planted by Operation Brightside to slow erosion, as suggested by MSD. 12 more will be planted in the spring on the north and south ends of the front lake.
** Lake Clean-up Day
October 30 - 9:30 a.m. - Meet at Old Towne sidewalk - Operation Brightside providing bags and reachers - wear boots and gloves
** Rocking the lake/retention basin
MSD has rocked 3 sections to halt erosion. In July, 2005, MSD will enter the rocking of three sides of our retention basin as an undertaking for the next round of projects, costing $50 per foot and to be completed by 2007, pending Ron Weston's approval as a high-priority need.
** Property maintenance needs expanded
After having paid to have 6 acres at the end of Old North Church Rd. bush-hogged under requirement from the Health Department, it was determined that our association does NOT own that land, so there will be no further expansion of the grounds-keeping responsibilities we now maintain.
** Lights Project completed
30 more light poles added and more efficient lighting added. A request for a light at the end of Old North Church Rd. will be passed on to LG&E. Lights on the walls at both entrances are fixed for now but may be messed up again during highway construction. Complaint about LG&E's leaving a yard spot in disrepair will also be reported .
** Pull-A-Part Update
Second public meeting only had 29 neighbors in attendance. Last hearing for the conditional use permit will be Monday, October 18 at the Old Jail Building at 8:30 a.m. Some conditions have been e-mailed to BOZA member Steve Hendrix. If we still want input in the binding elements, we must have representation at the meeting Monday.
** Sidewalks needing repair
Linda will be e-mailing addresses of sidewalks needing repair to Ron Weston's office, which will then turn these requests over to Public Works, who now has money to repair the worst cases. See Linda to add your address if it is not on her list already.
** Highway Dept. Rep could not attend
A traffic signal is planned for Enterprise, but one at Sam does not meet the requirement of 150 cars leaving the subdivision per hour.
