Minutes for the September meeting were read and approved, as was the Treasurer's Report (Bob, Martin). The bank balance as of September is $63,700.27.
Old Business:
Fencing - Mark reports that Penrod has committed to put up our fence along i/3 of the front lake. Mark will ask the property owner at 410 Old Towne Rd. for access to the lake by Penrod, who will repair any damage done to the yard. Linda reports that MSD has agreed to add land and rock to the area at the end of the sidewalk at Old Towne so Penrod's truck may operate. Charles will check with the property owners along the York River side to see who wants to make arrangements for having gates to the lake put in, at their own expense.
Street-cleaning - This service has been cancelled for now.
Drainage into the lake from National Turnpike - Bob will check with highway officials about the plan for routing drainage from Enterprise under National Turnpike.
Trees from Pull-A-Part - Charles showed the drawings for where 112 trees (along with pines added along N.T.) will be planted and of the types of trees that will be planted along both lakes as a part of Pull-A-Part's tree canopy agreement.
Block Watch - Minutes from the October 6 meeting were presented, including the up-dated log of incidents reported to police. According to Sgt. Decker and Officer Mattingly, our crime has been very low this year - 12 incidents on their report sheet.
New Business:
Entrance lighting - Bob suggests we change the lighting from in front of the walls to behind them to give protection to the lights and keep them from drying out the bushes / shrubs. All agreed.
Budget - Vicki presented our budget for 2005-2006. Carol moved; Bob seconded; the budget was approved unanimously. Copies will be made available for residents on our website and at our Annual Meeting October 15.
Decorations for the Holidays - P&R will be asked to decorate the light poles. The entrances will not be ready by Thanksgiving.
Annual Meeting - Begins at 9:00 a.m. - Directors will be setting up at 8:30 a.m.. Vicki volunteered to take care of do-nuts, coffee, orange juice, milk.
Terms for Bob, Martin, and Vicki end this year. Also, we will need to choose three alternates. christie Van Buren has already agreed to serve as an alternate again.
Charles and Linda will prepare the agenda for the Annual Meeting.
