The Minutes for May were read and approved.
Since there were questions about a check to Bearno's and a late dues payment that did not show the $200 late fee, Tim moved and Carol seconded that we delay approving the Treasurer's Report until Vicki could get answers to these questions.
Old Business:
Muskrats - Tim reports that the State Department of Natural Resources will capture these muskrats if they are causing erosion around our lake. Once it is determined who can catch these critters for the best price, Carol will make the deal.
Entrances - Pipes for electricity and water have been installed under the new roadbed and appear to be ready for hook-up after the entrances are paved.
Streetlight- Tim will again check on getting another light at the end of Old North Church Rd.
Bids for landscaping - Mark, Donnie, and Tim will be collecting bids for landscaping the entrances, putting up and taking down holiday lights, and cleaning off ice at the entrances. Bids will be written on the forms Tim generated. A&G, Decks and Decor, Steel Blades,Casper, Ray Rock, Clark Landscaping are some of the businesses to be contacted.
Potholes - Donnie will report potholes to Metro Call.
Block Watch Report - At the June 2 meeting, reports were made of calls to the police concerning a go-cart running on the streets and on a shot being fired through the windshield of a car. A report of a party with kids in the street at 3:00 a.m. was presented, but no call to the police was made.
Lake Bridge - Martin checked with Mr. Taylor about his intent to build the bridge, but Mr. Taylor says he is now unable to do this. Charles will be contacting Mike Schrenger, Marcus Smith, and maybe Lonnie Judd to design and estimate the costs of building a bridge across the culver. We will look at these at the next meeting.
Playhouse - Charles will inform Mr. Chris Jesse in writing that the Board has not approved his playhouse plan, and that the building being constructed is being turned in to Inspections, Permits, and Licenses.
Rocking Lake - Perry Clark still plans to come look at the lake's erosion problem and determine if we qualify for state aid.
Fencing - Mark will be calling Penrod (fencing company) to get an estimate on the cost of replacing the split-rail fence along the front lake (up to 100 feet) with a four-rail rough-cut lumber fence.
Banners - The banners on the poles along National Turnpike will need to be raised after the new sidewalks are poured. Mark and Bob will be taking care of this.
Phelps Hardware Account - Mark moved / Carol seconded a motion that one person can charge up to $200 per month at the store - up to three people can use this account.
Newsletters - Thanks to Carol and Tim for getting together the June newsletter. The next one comes out in September and will announce our October 1 neighborhood yard sale and our October 15 Annual Meeting, among other things.
Adjourned - 9:00 p.m.
Next meeting - July 14 - Ramino's - 7:00 p.m.
