2002 Yorktown South Homeowners Association Meeting Minutes

Dear Yorktown South Residents:

During our 2002 annual meeting, a new President and Vice President was elected to serve for our association.

Re-elected for Secretary/Treasurer - Teri Thompson, shoppernut@insightbb.com

Other agenda items discussed during the annual meeting of residents included the following:

- Financial Update ?– Currently, the balance as of 2/25/03 was $2059.88. The LG and E bills for our street lights are running approximately $72.00 per month.
- Association Dues Collection ?– 2 outstanding assessments are still due for 2002. As a reminder, the 2003 annual dues are by the end of August, 2003.
- Upkeep of Lawns and Landscaping ?– This helps everyone?’s property maintain its value!
- Street Paving ?– The final paving for Minute Men Court will be in the spring of 2003. This will allow for the completion of construction of the remaining homes and will increase our neighborhood?’s curb appeal.
- Mailboxes ?– The goal is for everyone to have uniform mailboxes to increase the curb appeal of our homes and enhance property values for everyone. A new effort will be underway to increase the number we have in our neighborhood. All new constructions are required to have the new mailbox.
- Street Lights ?– We will be adding up to two additional street lights to help illuminate our street and to provide homeowners with extra lighting to enhance security.

Lastly, a strong neighborhood association guarantees a consistent, pleasant environment essential to maintaining property values and area appeal. The collective voice of Yorktown South residents, spoken through the association, can effectively resolve community issues that affect the quality of life in our neighborhood.
