The sexually oriented business that was planned for the corner of Trinity and 820 has been defeated!

City Councilman Danny Scarth made an announcement at the RTHA meeting this evening. He introduced Mercedes Bolen from Chesapeake Oil and Gas who told us that the company has purchased the land that the developer was planning to use to build a sexually oriented business.

Mr. Scarth said the idea to approach a gas company to purchase the land came from one of our residents at a River Trails meeting. You can make a difference just by attending a meeting in your community!

Mr. Scarth is also working with our community and others to change the zoning along Trinity to be more neighborhood friendly. The area was industrial and has become predominantly residential in the last 10 years.
