As a long-time resident of the historic "Wood Streets" neighborhood, I'm honored to be part of such a wonderful array of people and buildings. Southern California has a reputation for being so fast-paced and outlandish; however, the "Wood Streets" is a compilation of caring and educated neighbors, secure in their knowledge of a friendly and cooperative group of individuals who work together to maintain the reputation of an 'old fashioned' neighborhood.  Block parties, neighborhood meetings, fund raisers, and overall awareness of the goings-on is what sets us apart from other neighborhoods.
