The Lutz Community Emergency Response Team along with Greater Tampa Cert is a volunteer organization dedicated to preparing individuals and their families to help themselves and their community in the event of an emergency situation whether a natural disaster, terrorist attack, or any other emergency situation that can arise.

Cert's goal during such events is to assist the most amount of people in the least amount of time. Especially because emergency service may not always be available during these scenarios or emergency assistance can always take a vast amount of time to reach a community. Cert is an organization for a community to receive the training necessary to be able to help themselves instead of waiting for help to arrive. We train our community by offering training in First Aid, CPR/AED, and First Responders.

We work side by side with Tampa Fire Rescue, Tampa Police Dept, Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office, Hillsborough County Emergency Operations Center, FEMA, and other City, State, and Federal Agencies.

Please be aware that joining this group does not make you a qualified Cert member. There is very important training that is required to become a member. This group is only to create a means of communications for people who are interested in becoming members of the Cert Organization.
