The curriculum prepares students to seek employment in retail sales as cashiers, retail associates,and customer service representatives. The program develops a foundation of skills in customer service, product knowledge,inventory control, display and presentation of stock, store security and safety, and teamwork.
The Retail Service Associate Program is a self-paced certificate course designed to train you for entry level careers in the Merchandise Checking and Retailing industry.
Students will:
1. Learn the use of point-of-sale terminals, scanners, and retail application software.
2. Develop foundation skills in customer service, sales and product information.
3. Practice inventory control and presentation of stock.
4. Understand store security and safety.
5. Create that competetive advantage.
6. Become an employee team leader.
Students satisfactorily completing the 216 hour modular program will be awarded a certificate.
