Harambee was built on a foundation that allows us to strengthen, encourage, empower, and embrace one another. Harambee is comprised of a variety of community leaders and business owners who are from various ethnic and demographic backgrounds. We share the same visions for empowering each other and improving our communities.

Harambee House strives to give homeless men and women the skills and supportive services they need to transition successfully back into the community. Although our services can benefit anyone who finds themselves homeless; our primary focus is the ex-offender.
Our goal is to educate and communicate with faith-based institutions, businesses, and other organizations to help former offenders find employment, implement a network of support, and conduct workshops and community forums that address reentry. We seek to raise awareness, and hold community discussions on reentry and civil rights of individuals who were formerly incarcerated.
Programming is provided in a non-judgmental environment and stresses respect for the community and each other. Emphasis is placed on compassion, balance, choices, consequences, and cooperation. We work with every client to develop plans to help them reach their goals.
We are currently seeking men and women applicants in need of housing.
