''Environmentalist at Heart''

In high school Jim was President of the Ecology Club for three years. Also a member of the Sierra Club & Conservation Society. He campaigned for the referendum which created VIA even though he could not vote. Jim graduated from John Marshall in 1980.

''Scholar of Architecture''

Jim studied architecture since grade school and completed the first 3 years of the Architecture Program at UTSA. While still a high school student Jim first spoke at a SA City Council meeting about preservation of historic buildings.

''Advocate of Urbanity''

Jim has always been a 'citizen patriot' who participates in his community. To living downtown a block from the Riverwalk, to riding mass transit, and to serving on committees & boards.
