We moved into the area in May of 2000 and have fallen in love with the old houses and individuality each house posessed. Come walk down our streets..... see for yourself.
Every year our house is involved in the time honored tradition of parking cars for the Arizona State Fair. Our neighborhood has been parking car on their property since the price of parking was $0.25. The going rate has increase at least 200% since then. Our entire family is involved and the best time to get out and get to know the neighbors after a long, hot Arizona summer.
The city of Phoenix has taken it upon themselves to decide that only residential hitsoric districts will not be able to apply for temporary parking permits that allow us to park cars during the state fair. ANY OTHER NEIGHBORHOOD WILL BE ABLE TO AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT A HISTORIC DISTRICT. Does this MAKE ANY SENSE? To the City of Phoenix it does.....
