In the Lake View Community...

Gregg, who currently resides at 434 W. Roscoe Street, has been a member of the Lake View community since 1978, living 17 of those 23 years within 1 mile of his current residence. A familair face in the neighborhood, Gregg has been invovled in many aspects of community service for nearly 10 years. He is a board member of the Chicqago Postal Customer Advisory Council (CPCAC), a citywide customer advisory santioned by the U. S. Postal Service (USPS), to provide a forum for communication and community input to products and services supplied by the USPS, since 1992. He formed a local Customer Advisory Council (CAC) for Graceland (60657) in April of 1994, which he still chairs. H retired from the CPCAC in 1995 to concentrate on local postal issues. He later returned to the Executive Board of the CPCAC in 1998. Gregg has served many years as an election judge, and formerly sat on the Board of the 23rd (Chicago Polce) District Steering Committee/ He is and has been a member and Board Member of Belmont Harbor Neighbors (BHN) a local branch of the Lake View Citizens' Council (LVCC), since 1994. Appointed to the Board of Directors of the LVCC from BHN in 1995, Gregg has been appointed or elected to Board seats since that time. During his tenure on the Board of LVCC, he has served as Chair of the Communications Committee (5 years), Chair of the Personnel Committee (2 years) Secretary (1 year), First Vice-President (2 years), Executive Committee memebr (6 years) and was elected President in May, 2000.

Professionally...

Gregg is and Information Technoligy Technical Professional and Consultant since 1983. He specializes in IBM Midrange Systems, with a concentration in systems technoligy (hardware, operating systems, interoperability) and systems security. Clients/employers in his resume include Baxter Healthcare, First Chicago NBD, Kraft Foods, Budget Rent A Car Corp., commodities firms, and software developer and service bureaus.

Personally...

Gregg lives with his (feline) companion of the past 7 years, Snickers, who makes no bones about letting him know who the boss of the house is. Gregg enjoys film, thater and music, plays keyboards and is teaching himself guitar (with little success.) A cyber neophyte, he is trying desperately to keep up with the Jones' (or at least the Jones' kids.) All the while, he admits to being a tltecomm and techno-gadget junkie.
