In April 1989, I attended Bannister for the first time and I accepted Christ the same day. (if you are not sure about what I mean, I got saved, or was born again. It has several names. Jesus said in John 3, You must be born again. The Bible also says, if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things become new.  In other words there should be some changes that take place in your life once you forma personal relationship with Christ. You cant not come in contact with God and not be changed. Jacob wrestled with God and afterwards he had a new walk and a new name. Coming in contact with God causes us to have a new walk and a new name. We go from Sinner to Saint. I since attended Bible college and taught in a Christian school and now am involved with preaching to youth in our Youth Church Service. It's a walk by faith and not by sight. If you have never been changed you may not have it right.

I heard the invitation and could not stay in my seat. I was asked if I died today, would I go to Heaven or Hell and I didn't know the answer. (Do you?) I was asked if I believed that I was a sinner. Romans says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. I was asked if I believed that Christ died for my sins (John 3:16 says God so loved the world that he gave his son to die.. For sinners like you and I.  I was asked if I believed that Jesus was buried and rose the third day according to the scriptures. I said yes. I was asked if I wanted to accept Christ, to ask him to save me and I said yes.

Without ever doing this I could have died and spent eternity in Hell, because The Bible says, He that does not believe is condemned already because he does not believe in the son of God. I am no longer condemned. What about you? These are the truths that I heard and my walk has been different ever since. What about you? You can get it settled easily according to Romans 10:9-13. Please get it settled. I want you to get it straight whether you and your family visits Bannister, but we would love to have you, if you have no church home. Maybe you fit into our youth category or you want your children to come and hear the Good News about Christ.

I was asked to pray with the guy that led me to Christ and I did. My life changed from that day on. I had been avoiding church until that day but I have been a member now for 23 years. God has a way of changing lives when we let him. In 2000 I attended Bible college because I new God had his will for me but I didn't know what. I graduated and was also teaching in our academy. Now I want to see if  I can lead others to Christ just like someone did for me.
