Our Neighborhood History

We have lived in the Cholla Neighborhood since 1985. In the past two years we have become acquainted with neighbors up and down our street, as well as around the corners. It has been very rewarding. We had our 2nd Block Party in May. I am hoping that we can all get together again in the fall. Please email us if you live close by (33rd Ave / Sahuaro Dr.)and would like to get acquainted. No need to wait for a Block Party.

Kids

You can tell our house by all of the kids and or bicycles out front. Although our own children are grown and almost gone, we have become the neighborhood ''Nana'' and ''Papa''. Many of the neighbor children come here for help with their homework, or just to have fun. It has been a fun learning experience for us as well. Kids really do want to learn and it feels great to be able to help them. Many parents are so busy with work, it's difficult to find enough hours in the day for just routine chores.
