Minor Changes is the newest project out by 24-year-old musician, music producer and songwriter J.R Edwards. Ever since the age of nine, J.R. has been very productive in his musical career. Throughout his career, J.R. has been playing behind such artist as Dorothy Norwood, Wanda Nero Butler, Hezekiah Walker and John P. Kee. J.R. was also a featured musician on several different “Colors of Christmas” programs, featuring such artists as Roberta Flack, Phillip Bailey, Stephanie Mills, and Jeffery Osbourne. Currently on the Musical Staff as Musician Director at the Bible Way Church in Columbus, Ohio where Bishop William C. Latta is the Pastor, J.R. is the head drummer and a substitute keyboardist under the direction of L.G. Scott. “Playing for Bible Way and many different projects for other groups, allows me to get a heads-up on the infrastructure of the music industry. “Most people tell me that I have a different style of playing whether it is drums, piano, or organ. I just pray that God continues to bless me with other opportunities”.

JR’s passion for difficult styles of music has allowed him to write and produce for Elder Jimmy Mitchell and the Jimmy Mitchell’s Drum Institute, also the Greater Christ Temple Youth Choir’s project were J.R. has written the title cut “Grateful”. J.R is the music director for Erik Dillard Ministries, and is featured the song entitled “One Word”; on upcoming artist Erik Dillard’s project entitled “Great Things”. Erik Dillard received awesome feedback and currently being played in the mainstream all over the United States.

J.R.’s project entitled “Minor Changes” consists of various styles of music. All the way from the up-beat portrayal of “Minor Changes”, to the dept and intensity of “It’s Worth it”. J.R. shows himself to be a very versatile musician, producer, and songwriter. “Music is my passion and I thank God for giving the talents that I have. I love all styles of music, I just pray that my music can touch the lives of others”. Since J.R.’s release project, he has been working on upcoming projects with artist such as Camille Betton, and Victoria Dunn. Just recently, J.R. has received an endorsement through Yamaha Corporate Artist Affairs. J.R. is truly on the move and is focused to take on bigger and broader challenges.
