James McWhorter brings more than 30 years of Management experience in Finance, Accounting and Real Estate.  Mr. McWhorter has been personally responsible for the real estate sales totaling $800MM.  Over the past decade, James has been instrumental in the successful opening and closing of many urban, single-family and adaptive re-use new home communities.  Of the many accomplishments was Savoy-LA, Library Court-LA, Eastern Columbia-LA, Waterstone-Playa Vista, Pacific Cove-Playa del Rey, Delacey Green Pasadena,WestOceanI-LongBeach, VUE-San Pedro.  In addition James was instrumental in launching many other communities for the Urban Division of The Ryness Company,Newport Beach.  

Sales management, recruiting, escrow management, organization, detail and LEED construction are the strengths Mr. McWhorter is known for.  With his lengthy background working in the world of corporate finance and in sales management Mr. McWhorter applies his own precise style and raises his sales staff to the highest standard.

Prior to working in real estate, Mr. McWhorter worked in Mergers, Acquisitions and Banking where he managed budgeting, planning and forecasting for operating budgets in excess of $125MM per annum.  During his career, he has participated in the due diligence reviews of over 1,100 companies for acquisition or merger. 

EXPERIENCE

• Over 10 years working in real estate with the focus on new home and adaptive-reuse sales, marketing and management.  Senior Executive overseeing the sales staff for several large urban and suburban clients
• 16 years with Fleet Bank of New York, managing the budget, planning and costing function for a large division of 5,500 employees and revenues of $145MM.
