Hello Everyone...

We are Elizabeth and David. We have lived on East 205th street for a few years now and we love our neighborhood. We love how there is a mix of houses and buidlings. We love that Mosholu Parkway is across the street and that it's home to many trees. We love to garden and did a renovation for a courtyard apartment building on Sedgwick and Giles.

For us the area has a "town square" feel even though it's the Bronx NYC. The park circle sitting area facing the middle of East 204th street is a constant reminder of how much we want to volunteer to clean up the area, plant some bushes and roses.

In general we would like to see better beautification, no more dog poop and more "main street" merchant area on our side East 204th.

In regards to safety, we would like to see neighborhood crime watch signs, security cameras placed on the smaller multi-family and even more police so that we can feel safer walking home from the subway very late at night.

We are always home. We work from our home office as study abroad advocates. We host foreign exchange students and currently creating an awareness program for our own Bronx high school students to study abroad on a 1 week to 2 month eudcational volunteer program. It has come to our attention through research that the hispanic and black community have the lowest study abroad opportuniutes being offered to them.

Both of us are active gardners and if anyone on the block wants some help with sprusing up their curb appeal, we would be glad to do so. We look forward to others joining this block association and making this happen.
