Welcome to our Neighborhood Watch Leaders page.

In these hard economic times, I would like to invite all of our neighborhood watch leaders to work together in making Mansfield a safe place to live and work. With our community facing several issues in regards to our safety forces and budget restraints, it is going to force a lot of changes in how the citizens of Mansfield can respond to each situation as they arise. With this in mind, we must be prepared now more than ever in the event something would happen in our neighborhoods or within our community.

I encourage each leader to become involved in CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) either as an active member, or at minimum, go through the training so that you, yourself can be better prepared and share that knowledge with your neighbors. I would like to also encourage our leaders to participate in the COPS program (Citizens on Patrol), and become that extra set of eyes and ears on the streets of Mansfield, and help the police department in keeping our neighborhoods safe.
WE, as the citizens of Mansfield and Richland County have the largest sex offender population within our state and the Richland County Sheriff's department has limited resources to monitor this largely growing population. I encourage you to monitor your own neighborhoods and keep your neighbors informed as these offenders move in and around our city. Learn more about the tier registry system and notification programs and how you, as watch leaders can assist the Sheriff's Department in keeping our neighborhoods safe from repeat offenders.

Above all, Get Involved, Stay Informed, and we look forward at seeing you at our next meeting.
