The organization's colors are royal blue outlined with orange on a white background.
To improve the lot of African Americans in general and African American males in particular; and to promote fellowship among its members.
The AIRGORA'S social club(s.c.) had its origin during the Fall semester, 1951 in a 10th grade class at the ''old'' Frederick Douglass High School located at Carey and Baker Streets on the westside of Baltimore MD.
A handshake, by-laws, song and initiation rituals were adopted and used by the AIRGORA'S. The AIRGORA'S song is as follows:
(to the tune of ''Auld Lange Syne'')
A few more days and we'll be through
AIRGORA's strong and true.
We will be men of loyalty
Men of the Orange and Blue.
For men of orange and blue we'll be,
Forever reaching for,
A goal, a light, a vivid dream,
A far off distant shore.
