Member Profile - Norm Holcombe

Norm Holcombe, CRM is the Solutions Consultant Records and Information Management at Pitney Bowes Management Services (PBMS). PBMS is a premier outsourcing solutions provider and one of Pitney Bowes fastest growing divisions. PBMS provides customized, world-class management ser-vices in the areas of mail and message management, repro-graphics, facsimile, records and information management, document creation, document imaging, electronic document
management, print-on-demand, electronic distribution and print solutions, as well as, business recovery services.

Norm enjoys meeting and working with senior management and RIM professionals at top organizations. He appreciates the opportunity to apply the knowledge that he has experi-enced
and learned over the past 30 years in the information management profession. Constant traveling and improving technologies are the challenging factors of his job.

Norm joined ARMA in 1975, right after he was asked to take over the State of Tennessee's Records Management program. He was managing a computer systems development group at the time and knew nothing about Records Management.
He said that some people can testify that he was immedi-ately "lost in space" until former ARMA member, Margaret Shea and ARMA came to the rescue! He has a BS in Busi-ness Administration (Industrial Management major) from UTK,
has completed some work on an MBA,and has participated in numerous IS, RIM, and management courses over the years along with preparation for the CRM exams.

Norm believes the yardstick of success is to find a profession you love, put your all into it, but keep your priorities in order, make it FUN, and try to live by the Golden Rule. His best decision was marrying Dionne and his first choice in a new
career would be to do volunteer work with seniors and kids. His favorite vacation spot is just about any beach and he enjoys goofing around and reading.
