ARMA's New President Elect
Paul J. Singleton is ARMA?’s new President-
Elect. Paul has 15 years experience in
records and information management,
currently as the records and information
manager for Bingham Dana LLP. Paul has
been a member of ARMA for 12 years and
has been a leader at all levels of the associa-
tion. He has held several offices in the
Boston chapter, and participated at the
international level as Northeast Region
Director, and as a member of the Strategic
Planning Committee, Awards Committee,
Nominating Committee, Member Relations
Committee, and International Dues Task
Force. Paul was vital in proposing that
ARMA?’s new membership categories include
organizational and vendor categories. This
new membership structure will take effect
July 1, 2001. Paul has also been instrumen-
tal in formulating the new strategic direction
of the association, which was communicated
at the annual conference in Las Vegas.

The city of Philadelphia seeks a records management professional who can come into munici-
pal government and complete the upgrading and computerization of the city?’s records. The
current records system needs to be streamlined and automated. The City seeks an individual
who can manage the department in an efficient, effective manner and meet the records-related
needs of both city government and the general public. Extensive experience managing volumi-
nous amounts of records using high-quality information technology is required. An education
background in information technology or information systems is preferred, but not required.
