Officer McGruff the Crime Dog joined us for the first meeting of All in the Family. He brought stickers and coloring books for the kids, and talked about his crime-fighting adventures.

He also came to our block party that day, but spent most of his time dancing with the girls. He sez''All sniffing and no schmoozing makes McGruff a very dull dog''

PRECIOUS

But Grandma, all the other kids parents are hiking to the top of Multnomah Falls!, and other heart-stopping expectations
Came home the other day to find the puppy(all 73 pounds of her) stuck in the bathtub with the shower turned on(don't ask how), and she was frantically eating her way through the wood and wallpaper around the window in her attempt to escape the waterfall. But this would hardly account for the two inches of water accumulating on the bathroom floor. No, this came from the geyser near the toilet, where she had pulled the piping apart. This was just the latest of her adventures (huge holes in the walls, chewing the cords on any and all appliances, and shredding the blinds and curtains) due to severe separation anxiety.
Her name is Precious, and my son fell in love when he was volunteering as an ambassador for the Make-a-Wish Foundation at their fundraising auction.
He was packing the puppy around to show prospective bidders, when someone made the comment that it seemed that he was getting very attached. When she came up for bid, 'anonymous' bid $3,000, then donated her to Ryan! Ryan was diagnosed with leukemia in 2002
