St. Louis Park has a web site. The address is www.stlouispark.org. You can find a wide variety of information about the city and what is happening here. The site is updated weekly and will give you current information on upcoming events, council meeting agendas and items of special interest. To judge by the volume of my e-mail many residents have already visited the site and found it helpful.
The last few months have been very busy. Here are some quick updates: Knollwood Mall has started demolition for their renovation project. Sweet Corn and More has returned for another season in the Mall parking lot by TCF. The market study of the Texatonka area (Minnetonka and Texas area) has started. The Louisiana Courts project has gotten underway with new ownership with renovation of the apartment buildings to come.
The Oak Hill Master Plan Task Force was formed.
They will be looking at various park uses for this park. Across Walker from the park a 200-unit apartment building is starting construction.
Recently, most of the concerns I have heard from Aquila residents have been about traffic speed on 33rd street and Aquila Avenue. If you have thoughts about this issue please attend the next neighborhood meeting. We will be discussing plans to address this issue.
If you have an issue or concern that I might be able to assist with please feel free to contact me at 938-2436 or susansanta@aol.com.
