Mission

Founded in 1992, Atlanta Women in Business provides networking and educational opportunities for business, career and professional women. If you are a business leader or have the potential to become one, we invite you to join us.

Atlanta Women in Business is a program licensee of The Athena Foundation (www.athenafoundation.org) and an endorsing network of the Women's International Networking (WIN) conferences (www.winconference.net).

Facts

It is a fact . . . that 75% to 80% of the best jobs are never advertised; they are filled through referaals and networking. It is a fact . . . that continuing education is a 'must' for success in the 21st century; the minute we stop learning is the minute we become less employable. It is a fact . . . that we must create our own work future; our skills, abilities, knowledge, experiences and networking resources will bring us the jobs and the business we want. It is a fact . . . that men have built-in networks to rely on and women must create their own. It is a fact . . . that women in 2001 still make only 74 cents for every dollar men make (source: U.S. News & World Report, February 26, 2001); is that good enough for you?
