The following Hearing is regarding the old Guerrero's II location, 9615 Overlake, under the same old ownership of Donaciano Galindo. The Bachman Community Assn has protested the application for a Beer & Wine License, including Late Hours License (which is midnight - 2:00 am for alcoholic beverage licensing) - ( late hours Dance Hall License is 2:00 am - 4:00 am - this application is NOT for that )
Please recall that Galindo's prior alcoholic beverage license was revoked due to the cancellation of insurance, which resulted from the excessive violence at this location.
Although this site is currently being operated as a restaurant, we feel that if alcohol were served, the gang element would re-establish itself there. These young adults have recently been frequenting Los Compass, at European Crossroads.
As Guerrero's II before it, Los Compass is also known to have served alcohol to minors, to have served alcohol after 2:00 am, to have had paid "taxi-dancers" and to have had drug sales. This is a dance hall - not unlike the club where Officer Kevin James was murdered and Officer Clarence Lockett was shot, though it IS a smaller club. They do not have a dance hall license.
We know you're asking why the City of Dallas is allowing Los Compass to continue to operate. We don't know why. But when they finally do close or relocate, we do NOT want Los Compass patrons to simply return to 9615 Overlake.
If you cannot personally attend this hearing, please write a letter supporting the PROTEST of the issuance of an alcoholic beverage license for this location. You might specifically address reasons why you feel that the health, safety, and/or general welfare of the people and/or neighborhood is adversely affected.
Letters should be addressed to
