An activity fee of $75 per student for all choirs will be collected at the choir parent meetings. This fee will help to offset the cost of music, transportation and insurance, accompanists, retreats, teaching materials and equipment needed to maintain the choral program. Fees collected from choir members represent less that 30% of the total Ballard choral budget. Students who are on fee waiver need to identify themselves no later than August 28 so that those fees can be reimbursed by the school.

Fund raising is limited to one major fund-raiser per year for each organization at Ballard. The choral program has chosen Magazine Sales as its primary fund raiser for 2003-2004. Other fund raising activities sponsored by the parent organization BACH include:
Entertainment books - each parent is asked to buy two books for the choral program. Each additional book will net $9.00 profit for the choir member?s personal choir account.
Kroger and Meijer gift cards - parents may purchase gift cerfiticates which are purchased and redeemed at face value. Kroger will donate 5% of face value to member accounts. Meijer will donate a percentage based on amounts spent each month.
Showcase - a talent show sponsored entirely by choir members.
The Ballard Choral Fund - a sponsorship program for choir parents and choir patrons. Those wishing to become a member of the Ballard Choral Fund should do so prior to the Fall Scholarship Concert in order to be recognized in the concert program.
