Updates were given by the trustees, and a financial overview was presented by Dave Richards.
In summary;
The meeting was attended by 7 residents, plus trustees and secretary/treasurer.
We have an 84% participation in the Civic Association (123 households out of 146 have joined as of 12/05/00). We have collected $4,890 in dues, and have spent $1,076, leaving $3,814 in the BECA account. Hopefully this will allow us to keep the entry maintained this spring and summer.
The Safety Committee Chairman (Tom Foos) is looking into getting a stop sign put in at the intersection of Spring Run and Dunaway. Concerns were voiced about the speed on Spring Run Drive now that the road is open to Harvest Wind.
The Operations Committee chairmen (Ray Paumier and Dave Smith) discussed Holiday decorations (which were enjoyed by us all!) and the quotes for entry maintenance. The quotes so far have been slow in coming in and running high!
The Communications Committee chairperson (Lindy Ramsey) raised the issue of distributing the newsletter via email for those who have it as well as posting it on the website.
There was an attempted break-in on Chateau Lane in November - the deadbolt lock and a large dog prevented entry.
It was suggested that for the entry improvements we should do a separate ?“project?” as opposed to using annual dues to improve entry visibility and appearance. In otherwords, voluntary donations. Brad Kruezer is the chairman for the Entry Development Committee.
Attention all residents! Would you like to be a trustee for the Civic association?? We will be accepting names of those interested in running for 2001/2002 trustee at the March meeting. The election will be held at the June 5 meeting.
Sgt. Ron Thompson from the Genoa Township Police department led our Blockwatch meeting and he discussed speeding issues, safety precautions and an update on the Genoa Township Police department.
Thank you to those who attended!!
