Bedford Eagles Landing Association History
MFR acquired the property in 1984. Development of Eagles Landing started shortly thereafter with the production of roads and community pool area. Building began on the model homes. The first 13 homes were sold.
However, with growth come growing pains and with the ensuing recession there was also trouble in the financial industry. MFR was foreclosed and the savings and loan was seized. The property was sold to a Houston bank.
In 1988, the bank contracted with Westchester Homes to continue the development of Bedford Eagles Landing. Westchester built approximately 80 homes. Stanley Builders then took over the building of new homes until 1997. Classic Home Builders completed the final construction of the last 10 lots.
