Thanks for your help. My husband and I have no objection to the speed alter machine being placed in our yard at 215 . Chadwick Rd.  I tried to e mail LTC  Turner but  the message would not go thru.

Did you put the period between Philip and Turner?  Mine went through as usual and LMPD responded immediately.  They called me Monday about both problems and Officer Pickett put the speed alert machine in my yard Tuesday. 

Officer George Dahl also came out late Tuesday afternoon and talked with me several minutes about the problem with the solicitors.  According to Officer Dahl, solicitors are required to have a Metro permit.  It is plastic and looks very much like our drivers' license.  It says "Peddlers Permit" across the top.  If they don't have that, call LMPD and tell them we have unlicensed peddlers in the neighborhood. 

  Several neighbors on my end of the street appreciate all your efforts....there is no question the speed alert machine slows them down...however there are still speeders around evening rush hour.  I did fail to see the dot in the e mail address.  Thanks again.
