I am trying to grasp the meaning and intent of the second poster. I read all of these posts and appreciate all of the divergent views that are expressed, but every once in a while I see one that I can not comprehend. So, my comments/questions are to get information; to to be critical of the poster.
First, I am trying to understand why the residents did not know about the speed humps since their sigatures are required before the city installs the speed humps. ?????
Further, I have been at City Commission meetings in which comments were made that so and so resident did not want a street light on their property. Judging by that, it would appear that residents have been "fore-warned."
Is the poster elderly or advocating for the elderly? Is she/he taking a position against the speed humps and/or street lights? Is there something here that I missed that would hurt the elderly by the installation of the humps/lights?
Elderly do not have computers? I have computers and I have been classified as elderly for 8 years. In fact, some might say I make maximum use of my computers judging by the number of posts I have made on this site I also found it very useful in putting together the Neighborhood Watch.
Seriously, I would really like to understand; I really am not being critical.
