City of Bellemeade

I have been here for a very short timem and one thing makes me weird  ?  y shaped trees.  Don"t  they ever split and fall onto the road?

Actually they do.

The city Beautification committee is working on a plan to remove them and plant short flowering trees away from the power lines.

Are those trees in the right of way for some level of government higher up than Bellemeade?  Why are we spending money to deal with Metro's or the Commonwealth's problem?  Are we not strapped for cash?
