City of Bellemeade

The entrance on Chadwick is beautiful.  The other one on Bellemeade Rd. needs some TLC.  I thought the Beautification Comm. put the entrances in the hands of  the commissioners.

I couldn't help but do a deep "belly" laugh when I read your post.  Not laughing at you, but I think it is hilarious that it does give the appearance that the Beautification Committee is superior to the City Commission.  But, you're right; how else could that ordinance have been passed over the expressed opposition of so many rersidents?  And despite the cliche of, "come to the meetings to express your opinion," the ordinance was passed even after a large room full of opponents did show up.  So much for showing up.  Plus, it has been called to my attention that one commissioner is currently on the Beautification Committee.  Is that a conflict of interests?  Does she refrain from discussions and votes pertaining to the Beautification Committee?

Exactly what needs to be improved at the Bellemeade Road entrance?   Keep in mind that despite the $1100.00 plus that was paid out anuually for nearly three years, the quality of the service received was not good.  So, there is a lot of "playing catch up" involved now.  The new man should be given a fair chance; he has proven that he knows what he is doing by the 180 degree turn-around at the Moorgate entrance.  It actually needed the most work when he started.
