Larry, are you telling us that this long delay was caused by the fact that ONLY one person had a copy of the proposed budget?  That is totally mind-boggling that neither you, the city clerk, the city treasurer, or another commissioner had a copy of the proposed budget. When did anyone find time to study it if they did not have a copy?

And as an aside to that point, please correct me if I am wrong, but does that mean that the proposed budget was prepared solely by Commissioner Blain?  I am sure that Commissioner Blain is an honorable man but he, like everyone else, has biases.  If projects like the budget were studied and proposed by a committee of diverse citizens rather than just one person, could it be that people might be less suspect of things and less argumentative toward what the Commission does?  This one person concept leaves no room for citizen input - rather cut and dry.

John don't be so silly you were at the meeting where the new budget was discussed by the whole commission not one man as you suggest. He just had the responsiblity of redoing the paper version accordingly and making sure the math is correct. By the way he is a CPA.

Larry, once again you missed my point.  I didn't hear a lot of discussion and one comissioner was absent.  The one item that was discussed resulted in no change even though one commissioner and two residents spoke against it. 

I am wondering why major projects are not ctreated by a committee od residents coordinated by one commissioer to GET MORE RESIDENT INPUT BEFORE THE FACT!!!!!!
