Sir, I think your comment to this poster was demaening, arrogant, sel-serving, and overbearing. Those are not characteristics one would expect to fnd in comments of a community "leader" speaking to a resident, disgruntled or not.

The gentleman asked if the delay in posting the proposed budget was caused by the fact that NO ONE other than Mr.Blain had a copy and why in the world could that be?  You failed to answer his question, instead you attached him by calling him, "silly."  It is my observation that you avoid questions a lot. 

Now, is it or is it not true that the only copy of the proposed budget was in the hands of just one person?

Perhaps silly was a bit strong John but I have been very frustrated with you saying things like "Larry spits in our faces." You have been doing that sort of thing for many months.

What I took issue with was :

And as an aside to that point, please correct me if I am wrong, but does that mean that the proposed budget was prepared solely by Commissioner Blain?  I am sure that Commissioner Blain is an honorable man but he, like everyone else, has biases.  If projects like the budget were studied and proposed by a committee of diverse citizens rather than just one person, could it be that people might be less suspect of things and less argumentative toward what the Commission does?  This one person concept leaves no room for citizen input - rather cut and dry.

You knew full well that it was not a budget done by one person but it take one person to check the figures and make sure it is correct which is what he did.

It appears that Larry is the only one who does NOT get what he is saying.  We want more transparency and more public input day in and day out, not just once a month at a cramped up meeting that conflicts with child rearing, family activities, and professional commitments.  Taking last year's budgte, scrambling a few figures, and keeping it bascially private except for those who came to your performance, er excuse me, meeting may or may not be what Bellemeade wants done with its tax money.  But you will never know unless you talk with, not to, us up front.  And yes, I know that is not how it has been done for a hundred years, but take a leap; you will be pleasantly surprised that we are intelligent enough to actually help.
