City of Bellemeade

Louisville Metro Representative Jon Ackerson attended a recent Bellemeade Commissioners meeting and made us aware of potential funds that we could use to benefit the City of Bellemeade. The range mentioned was from $5,000.00 to $15,000.00. 

The Mayor formed a citizen committee and asked that I chair the committee and gather ideas for the use of the money. There was an announcement in the newsletter last week about the committee and my contact information is in the newsletter.

Or you could post your ideas here. Although I am sure there will be some debate, I will only be noting new ideas. If someone wants to be on the committee from the Bellemeade section of the city, please contact myself or the Mayor. So far all of the volunteers are in the Mooregate secion.

OK?  Grants from where?  Minnesota has shut down because of the economic problems.  Obama is trying to raise the debt ceiling because we can't pay our debts.  Kentucky furloughed state employees.  Veterans get inadequate medical care.  Unemployment is nearing double digits and yet money is coming from somewhere for pet projects?   Go figure.

How about sidewalks on Shelbyville Road.  The ones in front of UofL are really attractive AND functional.
