MEXColonial Acres

Posted in: Colonial Acres

First off, congratulations on your Master's degree; you're obviously very proud of that.

Due to the condition of properties owned by people such as your father, its no suprise you wouldn't want to live in this part of town.

I'm very familiar with the Huntsville area; it too has crime, the uneducated, and dirt, so you're boasting doesn't fool me.

It takes a lot of gall to suggest that the commenters on this site should help repaint your father's rentals.  Maintaining his property is not their responsibility; its his.

It's unfortunate that there is stress in owning rentals, however one would think that some time between purchasing the 1st and the 25th rental, one would realize that they weren't cut out for it and choose a different vocation.

If you should inherit these properties, you should also make it a point to learn where these houses are located.  I would be very surprised to see you in Colonial Acres "hand painting every d*mn (do you use that language with the Autistic children you work with daily?) last one of those houses" since they are actually located outside the boundaries of  Colonial Acres in the area to the south and west of Oaksedge Drive.

Given the poor physical condition of these properties, your choice of new paint colors will be the least of your worries; Good luck.

We do not live IN Huntsville, but that is beside the point. I only suggested that anyone help repaint because it might help make the changes faster than they would otherwise. It was just an idea.

What I don't understand then about the location of the properties is why you guys have such nasty things posted abotu my father if the properties he owns aren't even IN your neighborhood - you said they are outside of it. Surely there must be other people who do not maintain their properties, but I don't see anyone else being called a slum lord and other nasty names or being posted about so publicly. So why this particular owner? I am honestly asking. Is there something else he has done to offend this group of people - other properties you are unhappy with? Have you ever MET him personally to have him say something to directly offend you? I really am asking because I want to know.

Come on people! what are we going to do, about investor that are buying property in colonial acres, and renting to illegal, you can spot them real easy. Can we get the association to do anything about it?

We need to compile a list of address of these houses, that have more than one/two family living in them.

Need to remove all the work houses in the neighborhood, and bring colonial acres back to the neighborhood it used to be. Before it is lost.

Thanks
