Our neighborhood is emerging as a choice area for discerning locals who want water access without sacrificing privacy and property to be near it. Because Blackhawk is close to the Intracoastal Waterway and beaches, has easy access to main thoroughfares and the downtown area, and many homesites boast marsh views or water access, the neighborhood's popularity among Jacksonville locals has significantly increased. Potential homeowners are beginning to realize the tremendous value of these "older" homes because the sites are generously portioned and contain many mature shade trees. Combined with the rising popularity of Jacksonville, Florida in general, property values in Blackhawk have climbed to a record high. Overall, however; our present home values remain in sync with the competitive Jacksonville real estate marketplace and would most likely remain constant in the event the real estate market softens.

Girvin Road lazily bends and stretches between Atlantic Boulevard and Mt. Pleasant Road. Nearly midway, Blackhawk Bluff is neatly sited on either side of Girvin Road, and homeowners are happily treated to large homesites in a naturalized setting. Wonderful trees populate the neighborhood which is situated on the interesting finger of land located in the majestic surround of the Greenfield Creek marshland and waterway. Hooting owls, hovering hawks, and hole digging armadillos make themselves at home amid the woodpeckers, bluebirds, squirrels, and all the other welcome creatures that give Blackhawk Bluff its delightful ambiance. The people who live here are as friendly as the environment is wonderful, and the pride of ownership shows throughout.
