HOA

Does anyone know who is in charge of the HOA or even if there is one? I would like to get with someone about a possible speed bump instal on Magnolia Blosssom to keep the people that think our road is a bypass and race track to get to work.

Hello Neighbor, since you are on this site, I imagine that you already know that the Blossom Park Neighborhood Association sponsors it. Our current Officers are listed elsewhere on the site, but the President is Lee Shaw who was a founder of the Association. With regard to your post, just about everyone agrees with you that speeding through the neighborhood is a problem. We, the BPNA have tried to address that very issue by requesting speed bumps at several locations, including Magnolia Blossom. However, although the City of San Antonio has sent officers to monitor traffic at various times during the day, our streets do not meet the necessary requirements for the bumps. The streets are too short, the stop signs are too close together, and the traffic is insufficient to merit bumps. Finally, our association is a voluntary one with annual dues of $15 per household, and we simply cannot afford the multi-thousand dollar cost of installing a bump ourselves. We do frequently request officers to hang out and catch speeders, but they cannot be here all of the time. SO, be aware of the traffic and be safe. Oh, and welcome to our neighborhood!
