BOHN FARM NEIGHBORHOOD

The Bohn Farm Neighborhood was formed because of the need for a overseeing committee in our neighborhood. The mission of this group is to promote neighborhood cohesiveness and provide a group entity for neighborhood goals.We started as the First to Third/Sunset to Bowen group, but changed in order to reflect the major landmark.

Mission goals

We as the core group of the neigborhood feel these are the goals for this neighborhood.
To provide a safe and secure area within our area.
To provide an entity before city council on any matter that is of concern to our neighborhood.
To try to preserve areas in our hood that are of intrest to the neighborhood.
To act as a mitigation group within the area

Organizational structure

In order to be recognized by the city as a active group we must vote a president yearly. This election is held each Jan and open to all who care to express a vote.
We also must attend a mounthly gethering of neighborhood leaders.

MISSION STATEMENT

We are a neighborhood group committed to the improvement of the 1st-Bowen-Sunset Neighborhood of Longmont, CO.
We realize that as individuals working alone, we have little effect in improving our neighborhood. We believe that working together as an organization, we will have the resources that can shape this community into one which will provide us, our families, and in particular, our children, with a safe and positive environment.
We have chosen to not sit idly and let our neighborhood deteriorate, but to stand together, and to nurture and encourage community spirit. We are dedicated to raising the quality of life in Longmont by working to improve what we can ourselves and by requesting assistance from outside agencies or local officials as needed.
We encourage all residents of the neighborhood to join us as active members of the group, and our meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend. We will target issues to fight the decline of this community and with the help, support and input of all, our mission will be successful.
We acknowledge the need for and look forward to developing partnerships with local officials and other agencies, while at the same time remaining self-reliant and independent.
