We are a diverse neighborhood which chooses to ignore differences to promote harmony for the sake of our children. Artist in Residence, Hillary L. Miller, M.A. works with neighborhood children teaching literacy skills through art. Scan our Community Calendar for exciting events.
Our art thrives because of support for activities for neighborhood children from the
following:
John Pole at Texaco Self Service at 804 North Country Club Drive for gift certificates and refreshments;
Sandy Tracey at Viking Instant Print at 624 West Broadway Road for copies to color and serving as a juror at the coloring contest and scratch sheets
for drawing;
Myra Altergott at 106 West 9th Place #12 for crayolas, scavenger hunt items, refreshments, use of picnic table, extension cord for fans, and chairs;
Tom and Connie Ogden at Salads 'n Such at 1140 South Country Club Drive for hosting Dinner with the Artists;
Gen Horn for food, condiments and music;
Maribel and Manuel at Peter Piper Pizza at 1234 West University Drive for patience and support during the coloring contest;
Trish Caliendo and staff at Harkins Poca Fiesta 4 at 1020 West Southern Avenue for patience and support during "Sinbad: Legend of the 7 Seas;"
Kudos and highest regards from our neighborhood Cubby and Grizzly Artists.
