BELD E-mail Problem

Posted in: Braintree
Things to consider

First I DON'T work for BELD.

1. Email delivery standard is that email is not guaranteed - ask any ISP
If they say it is..they lie

2. Having to deal with Comcast occasionally I know there policy is to simply remove the mail when issues like this occur. BELD is at least attempting to get the mail to your machine.

3. Don't get angry at the ISP whether Comcast / BELD - blame the spammers. There is an incredible amount of SPAM sent every second ( not by some geeky teenager in a basement but by automated scripts on machines that run 24x 7 ..thats for the people who watch too many hollywood hacker movies..lol )

4. Give BELD a bit of time they have been consistently good at resolving issues in the past and offer a pretty good service for the price .
I have had dealings with everyone from Qwest in Denver to RCN to Adelphia..etc.

Think of it this way ..the DEVIL YOU KNOW ...lol

Happy Holiday!

blaming wrong person...

Darrin has not been on the Light Board for ages... if you go into the Beld site it will give you the names of the current commissioners to contact.there was also an alert on Belds home page stating what had happened and that they were in the process of correcting the problem and everything should be back to normal by the weekend.. and if you had any questions you could also contact the help desk, although they aren't working tomorrow. and if all else fails and your still not satisfied you could contact the General Mgr. Mr. Bottiggi i'm sure he'd be very helpful..
?

What makes you think Mr. Bottigier is helpful? And, Comcast is there 24/7, Beld is not. Why did Beld ever get into this business--they take the business on and then tell the town we have to fund it and with inferior customer service. Something is wrong with this picture.

maybe it wasn't thought out..

I guess maybe when Beld went into the cable business they didn't think about what would come further on down the road.. the difference is with comcast ( or Direct TV etc.. they have a huge customer base, and with Beld, they will only ever have a small customer base, as they only have Braintree residents as customers. When you have huge companies be it, cable, electric, phone etc. most have broader customer bases so they have the ability to charge lower rates,a bigger staff of people 24/7 to handle any problems that arise and they can afford to credit back money for services that the customers didn't have for anything over a 24 hour period. As far as Mr. Bottiggi he is the General Mgr, and if you feel that your not getting the answers you want, then he is the one that you should go do as he oversees Beld..
