I agree with some of it but spybot isnt part of it.and willie don't be afraid of windows registry,its just something new to learn,no big deal.

a good firewall to go with it.
you shouldn't ever see a pop up or cookie unless you ok it to visit some site.on one night session there was an attack that lasted for twenty min.from three different web sites,all were logged and blocked.
after the firewall has been installed for a while try turning it off some night.its like opening a window on a night when the mosquito's are swarming.
I run ad-aware and registry mechanic after the day is done,before the computer go to bed.if it isn't run
for a week the files are loaded with spy's and the system slows down do to all of that trash.
