Briarwood Estates is a lovely suburban neighborhood located conveniently within the city limits of Dallas, Texas. With our position just off LBJ Freeway between Ferguson and Shiloh Roads, Briarwood residents enjoy quick and easy access to a wide variety of retail, recreation and dining activities.

Briarwood Estates was built between 1979 and 1981 by Fox & Jacobs. In their 1979 promotional materials, F&J said, "The new community offers the best location and access to the metroplex by Fox & Jacobs in years. For an active wholesome lifestyle, community centers, parks and recreational programs are available. Lakes with water sports, camping, picnicking, fishing, golfing and other activities are minutes from your home. Neighborhood shopping centers and regional retail centers offer every shopping convenience."

Nearby schools include Charles A. Gill Elementary, Robert T. Hill Middle School, Bryan Adams High School and Eastfield College. A number of medical facilities are only minutes away, including Baylor Medical Center Garland and Doctor’s Hospital. Local attractions such as White Rock Lake and the Dallas Arboretum are just a short drive down Garland Road.

Briarwood isn’t fancy, but it’s not pretentious. With friendly neighbors and well-maintained surroundings, it’s just a great place to live!

About our association

The Briarwood Neighborhood Association has been serving the residents of Briarwood Estates in Dallas, Texas since October 1981.

The BNA:

• provides effective representation at Dallas City Hall;
• retains board members on the Upper Ferguson Weed and Seed program, which ensures contacts with the Dallas Police Department and the City of Dallas Code Compliance Division;
• sponsors several annual social events;
• publishes the award-winning BNA Bugler monthly;
• maintains an exclusive crime watch voice mail program, where members may call 214-967-5037 for weekly crime updates;
• makes Briarwood a better place to live.

Membership in the BNA has always been a low $10 per household per year. The dues cover newsletter printing costs, the voice mail system and supplies for the social events.
