Our History

Buckingham Greene, established in 1994, is located off Veale Road in north Wilmington. The community is comprised of 55 single-family homes, with styles ranging from ranches, to various three and four bedroom two story models. Each of the homes features a two-car garage, as well as a full basement.

The builders of the community have more than 40 years of combined experience constructing houses in New Castle County; Michael Simeone as a builder of custom houses in north Wilmington, and Bob Smith as the owner of a business that insulated thousands of new homes throughout the area. Their motto is “comfort and craftsmanship under one roof”.

The comfort part of the equation is evident in many ways at Buckingham Greene, beginning with the convenient floor plans and attention to the most efficient use of space. The other half of the equation, craftsmanship, is apparent in the quality construction and attention to detail in all of the homes in the community.

Buckingham Greene is bordered on two sides by old-growth woods, serving as a natural buffer from other developments in the area. The community also features a playground with swings and other equipment for use by members of the development and their friends and family.
